Llandudoch Youth Theatre (LYT), was a youth theatre group for young people living in St.Dogmaels and focused on using drama and improvisation (mixed with play and creativity) to build confidence and boost wellbeing.

The group met in St. Dogmaels Church Hall/Y Hen Ysgol on Thursdays.

Children dressed up as police officers and detectives, playing with toy guns in a classroom.
Three children dressed in costumes and a woman playing swordfight with a toy sword inside a room with large windows, a piano covered with a decorative cloth, and some stacked mats in the background.

Group Information

Each week, the group engaged in theater and drama activities, and were given weekly tasks to create scenes, frozen images, characters and scripts to assist in developing their theater and performance skills.

An old brick house with large white-framed windows and a dark roof, under a partly cloudy sky.

The closed in July 2025, due to low registration numbers, which impacted it’s ability to maintain it’s running costs.

’’I really enjoyed running this group. It gave me new learning experiences which has helped me to develop my practice.

If there is any interest for a youth theatre in St. Dogmaels in the future, then you can bet I will be reopenning this group!’’
